Kenne Duncan se narodil 17. února 1902 v Chathamu, Ontario, Kanada. Byl to herec a spisovatel, známý pro The Astounding She-Monster (1957), Night of the Ghouls (1959) a Manhunt of Mystery Island (1945).
Nejprve uzavřel smlouvu se společností Universal v období přechodu od němého filmu ke zvukovému, poté krátce podepsal smlouvu s Paramountem. V polovině 30. let natočil několik snímků v Kanadě pro nízkorozpočtovou společnost Booth/Dominion. Většinu roku 1937 strávil v Anglii, kde natočil tři filmy, než se stal hvězdou westernů nižší kategorie.
