Anita Stewart bola americká herečka a filmová producentka v začiatkoch éry nemého filmu. Narodila sa 7. februára 1895 v Brooklyne, v New Yorku ako Anna May Stewart.
Študovala na Erasmus High School. Svoju hereckú kariéru začala v roku 1911 vo filmových ateliéroch spoločnosti Vitagraph v New Yorku. Anita Stewart bola jednou z prvých herečiek ktoré dosiahli slávu hneď na začiatku svojej hereckej kariéry. Debutovala v roku 1911 vo filme „A Tale of Two Cities“ (Príbeh dvoch miest), čo je filmovým spracovaním známeho románu od Charlesa Dickensa.
