Porgy a Bess (1959)

Příběh se odehrává na počátku 20. století ve smyšlené části Catfish Row v Charlestonu v Jižní Karolíně, která slouží jako domov pro černou rybářskou komunitu, a zaměřuje se na charaktery titulních postav: zmrzačený žebrák Porgy a Bess, závislá na drogách, která žije s místním přístavním dělníkem Stevedore Crownem...
